The death of three Iranian nuclear scientists and two military generals has been confirmed due to Israel's airstrikes.
According to CNN on the 14th (local time), the Israel Defense Forces reported that mechanical engineering, physics, and materials science experts Ali Vakai Karimi, Mansour Asgari, and Saeed Borji have died. Consequently, the number of Iranian nuclear scientists killed in this Israeli airstrike has risen from 6 to 9.
Iran's Press TV reported that additional fatalities have also occurred among the military leadership. The Iranian Armed Forces General Staff announced that Brigadier General Gholamreza Mehrabi, deputy chief of staff for intelligence, and Brigadier General Mehdi Rabani, deputy chief of staff for operations, were killed in the Israeli airstrike the night before.
The day before, military leaders including Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Hossein Salami, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Gholamali Rashid, Commander of the IRGC Central Command for Air Defense, and Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force were killed.
The Israeli military dropped over 330 bombs targeting Iran's nuclear and missile program facilities, military headquarters, high-ranking officials' residences, scientists' residences, and missile launch sites early the previous morning. In response, Iran fired hundreds of missiles targeting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
