Iran has indicated a halt to nuclear negotiations with the United States.

On the 13th (local time), Esmail Baghaei, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, said to Reuters, "In speaking about negotiations, the Zionist regime (Israel) played a role in allowing attacks on Iranian territory," adding that "dialogue with the United States has become meaningless."

Iran has been continuing negotiations focused on halting nuclear development and lifting economic sanctions since the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump. It was reported that Iran was scheduled to hold the 6th round of nuclear talks with the U.S. on the 15th in Oman.

Baghaei said, "The attack by Israel would not have been possible without U.S. approval," noting that "Israel has also influenced the diplomatic process (nuclear negotiations)."

The Middle Eastern situation is plunging into turmoil. This is because the Israeli military mobilized 200 fighter jets early that morning and launched a surprise attack on Iran's Natanz nuclear facility in Isfahan, targeting key military commanders and nuclear scientists, prompting an immediate retaliatory strike from Iran.

Meanwhile, President Trump said in an interview with NBC that day, "Iran missed the opportunity to reach an agreement, but there may be another chance."
