Elon Musk, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tesla, who has publicly conflicted with U.S. President Donald Trump over the tax cut bill, has stepped in to clean up.

He is picking up his criticism of President Trump that he had unleashed through X, while continuously posting support for President Trump's response to the immigrant protests.

On the 11th (local time), Musk wrote on X that he regrets criticizing President Trump. He said, "I regret some of the posts I made about President Trump last week," adding, "I went too far."

Earlier on the 9th, Musk shared a screenshot of President Trump's post on Truth Social regarding the Los Angeles (LA) protests on X. It was a post calling for California Governor Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass to apologize to the citizens of LA regarding the situation of the protests.

He followed back the account of Stephen Miller, a close aide of President Trump, whom he had previously unfollowed, and deleted posts demanding Trump's impeachment and claiming that Trump was involved in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Musk was once so close to President Trump that he was called 'First Buddy.'

He was appointed head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) as the Trump administration began its second term, directing federal government restructuring and expenditure cuts, but began to express dissatisfaction with the tax cut bill promoted by the administration, leading to the breakdown of their cordial relationship.

Musk shared a post mentioning President Trump's impeachment on his X account, expressing support by saying "Yes," while President Trump threatened to terminate government contracts with Musk's enterprises, including SpaceX, escalating the conflict.
