Xi Jinping, China's president, and his only daughter, Xi Mingze, appeared publicly for the first time at an official event with a foreign leader during a dinner with Alexander Lukashenko, the president of Belarus, on the 4th, foreign media reported.

The United Daily News reported on the 11th (local time), citing Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA). According to the report, the dinner took place at Chunyi Garden within Zhongnanhai, Beijing. Zhongnanhai is the location of the offices and residences of China's top leadership.

The meeting with President Lukashenko was conducted as an unofficial schedule, but Belarusian Telegraph Agency reported, citing Nikolai Snopkov, the first deputy prime minister, that President Xi's wife, Peng Liyuan, and daughter Xi Mingze attended the dinner together.

Deputy Prime Minister Snopkov noted that President Xi said, "You and I have a special relationship. Therefore, we prepared a family dinner. For the first time in history, my daughter is joining a dinner with a foreign leader." The Belarusian Telegraph Agency reported that President Xi mentioned, "My office is right next door. This is the first time I've welcomed guests here."

The United Daily News analyzed that Xi's office space may have been relocated to Chunyi Garden based on the aforementioned remarks. In fact, on the 6th, President Xi also met with the Panchen Lama at the same location.

Born in 1992, Xi Mingze is reported to have studied at Harvard University under a pseudonym from 2010 to 2014. Officially, her birth year, educational background, and facial photos have not been disclosed. Following her attendance at the dinner, speculations are being raised about what role Xi Mingze may play in the future, according to the United Daily News.
