It has been reported that a massive breach occurred in China, with the largest single scale involving 4 billion personal information records being leaked.

On the 10th, Hong Kong's Sing Tao Daily reported, citing overseas security media, that "the CyberNews research team recently discovered that up to 4 billion personal data records, amounting to 631 gigabytes (GB), were exposed without passwords."

Among the leaked databases, the largest, "wechatid_db," contains information on more than 800 million records. This is believed to have been collected from WeChat (China's version of KakaoTalk). The second largest, "address_db," contains actual address information for 780 million records. The third in size, "bank," contains financial data of more than 630 million records, including credit card numbers, dates of birth, names, and phone numbers.

The research team noted that by accessing these three data sets alone, hackers could determine a specific user's residence, expenditure habits, liabilities, and savings. Additionally, the "wechatinfo" database, containing approximately 577 million records, likely includes WeChat communication logs and user conversations.

Furthermore, the "zfbkt_db" contains information on 300 million records, which also includes Zhifubao (Alipay) card and token information. The research team warned that hackers could attempt to activate unverified accounts and impersonate users.
