Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 10th that it held a joint situation check meeting with the Overseas Koreans Agency and local diplomatic missions regarding the ongoing protests in Los Angeles, USA.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that it conducted a video conference chaired by Director General Yun Joo-seok to review safety and protection measures for overseas citizens.

In the meeting, Director General Yun stressed the importance of continuously sharing relevant trends through safety notices and urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Overseas Koreans Agency, and diplomatic missions to ensure thorough cooperation in protecting overseas citizens.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that no cases of arrest or harm to Korean nationals have been identified in relation to the recent immigration enforcement and protest.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "We will closely monitor the current situation and maintain ongoing communication with the Korean community," adding, "We will continue to take necessary measures to ensure the protection and safety of our overseas citizens."
