The volume of job openings, which shows the demand flow in the U.S. labor market, is reported to have increased in April.

The U.S. Department of Labor reported on the 3rd (local time) that the number of job openings in April was recorded at 7.39 million in its Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS).

This is an increase from March (7.2 million), surpassing the forecast of experts compiled by Dow Jones (7.2 million).

Amid a rapid deterioration in the sentiment of U.S. consumers and corporations, the volume of job openings is still maintaining a steady flow.

On Wall Street, where concerns about recession have grown due to the tariff policy of the Donald Trump administration, attention is focused on employment indicators that can gauge economic trends.
