President Donald Trump changed his official portrait for the first time in about four months.

On the 2nd (local time), CBS reported that the White House announced it had posted the new portrait of President Trump in each office.

The changed photo is similar in overall tone to the previous official photo released before his inauguration in January. However, details have been modified.

In the new official photo, President Trump is wearing a red tie against a dark background. In the previous photo, he wore a blue tie against a background of the American flag.

Additionally, the new photo enhances the lighting and shading on the president's face. The previous photo had consistent lighting across the face, eliminating shadow effects.

The expression remains unchanged in the new photo. However, experts noted that it gives a somewhat softened impression.

The previous official photo received criticism for resembling the mugshot taken when President Trump was indicted in Georgia on election overturning charges in 2023, as both images show him slightly bowing his head and looking straight ahead.

Both the first and second official photos were taken by the White House's chief photographer, Daniel Terok, according to CBS.

The White House stated that it plans to replace the official photos of President Trump displayed in federal government buildings and each office with the new portrait. It did not provide any explanation regarding the background for the change in the official photos.
