Soccer legend David Beckham has criticized the actions of the England professional soccer Manchester United (Man U) team, where he had long played.

On the 1st, Beckham appeared on U.S. CBS and said of the Man U team, "There are many unacceptable behaviors."

Beckham led Man U during its golden era from 1992 to 2003. He noted, "I do not like what is happening at the club," and added, "While the on-field performance is important, as a Man U fan, I have seen things that I cannot accept."

After achieving the worst record in history, finishing 15th in the 2024-2025 season of the English Premier League (EPL), Man U went on an Asian tour. Man U lost 0-1 to the ASEAN All-Stars, composed of top players from ASEAN countries, but defeated the Hong Kong national team 3-1.

Meanwhile, winger Amad Diallo of Man U was reported by U.S. ESPN to have given fans the middle finger outside the team hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He also stated he does not regret his actions, claiming he heard offensive comments about his mother.

A video of Alejandro Garnacho arguing with a fan who was filming him also surfaced on social media.

In this regard, Beckham stated, "Players must represent the Man U club badge and take responsibility," and added, "In our time, we understood what it meant to play for Man U and what the Man U badge stood for."

He also urged the team to reflect, saying, "Whether in Europe or Asia, we respected the fans. Man U was a humble team," and noted, "The fans paid to come see us and accepted getting autographs or taking pictures."
