A tourist was assaulted with high heels after touching a transgender woman's genitals in Pattaya, Thailand. It is reported that the tourist did this act to verify the woman's gender.

According to foreign reports such as the Bangkok Post on the 1st, a transgender woman, A (29), struck B (54), a male tourist from Sri Lanka, multiple times with high heels on the previous night. Police found B bleeding from the head on the beach road. After receiving treatment from paramedics at the scene, B was subsequently transported to a nearby police station with A to undergo investigation.

In the police investigation, transgender A admitted to striking the man's head with high heels multiple times. According to the police investigation, the incident occurred when negotiations for sex work began between A and B. A stated that B approached her first and she responded, "The service price is 2,000 baht (approximately 84,000 won)."

B then said he wanted to verify if she was a 'biological woman' and expressed his desire to 'touch her genitals.' A recounted, "So I let him touch me once. He did not pay and touched me again," adding, "This made me angry, and an argument began."

A further stated, "I grabbed the collar of the man's shirt, but he pulled on my shirt," and added, "I got scratch marks on my chest, and out of anger, I hit his head with my high heels 4 to 5 times."

B told the police, "I just wanted to verify the woman's gender and since I was not sure (if she was a biological woman), I decided not to proceed with the transaction."

Local police are investigating the details of the incident.
