U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that the ratio of foreign students at the prestigious Harvard University, which is experiencing conflict with him, should be reduced to 15%, half of the current level.

On the 28th (local time), President Trump, during a ceremony for the appointment of Jeanine Pirro as the acting U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., in the Oval Office, said, “Harvard should show us the list of those (foreign students). Nearly 31% are foreign students, and we want to know where those students come from.”

He continued, “They (Harvard) bring people from radical regions of the world, and we do not want those (foreign students) to cause problems in our country,” adding, “In my opinion, we should probably set a cap of about 15% instead of 31% for foreign students.”

Regarding Columbia University in New York, which was the epicenter of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel protests last year, he noted, “That is really wrong,” but added, “They are working with us to find solutions. However, Harvard wants to fight. They want to show how smart they are and are getting scolded.”

Meanwhile, President Trump commented on the peace negotiations regarding the Ukraine war, saying, “We will know (the results) within two weeks,” and added, “We will soon find out whether Russian President Vladimir Putin is dragging us along, and if that is the case, we will respond a little differently. It will take about a week and a half to two weeks.”
