Amid reports that former U.S. President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer, a recently released health report confirmed that there are no signs of aggressive prostate cancer.
Fox News reported on the 27th (local time) that a review of three annual health reports released by the White House from 2021 to 2024 indicates that former President Biden has consistently been deemed "healthy and fit for office."
Dr. Kevin O'Connor, the White House physician who prepared the health report, has been Biden's physician since 2009 and is a long-time family friend. According to Dr. O'Connor, the functions of Biden's major organs, including the heart, lungs, eyes, and teeth, are within normal ranges, and there are no abnormalities in the neurological examination. However, stiffness in his gait was analyzed as the result of arthritis and mild peripheral neuropathy, which can be managed through physical therapy and exercise.
The White House also disclosed that Biden uses a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine to treat his sleep apnea. He has also been infected with COVID-19 twice but reportedly recovered without major complications thanks to vaccinations and booster shots.
However, a significant issue is the fact that the health report states that the last time Biden received a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test was recorded as 2014. A PSA test is a basic blood test for the early detection of prostate cancer, and regular check-ups are recommended for older men. This implies that Biden had not undergone related testing for nearly 10 years before receiving a recent diagnosis of "aggressive prostate cancer," raising concerns about a gap in medical care.
Meanwhile, there are growing claims that the Biden administration has attempted to conceal both the dementia allegations and the prostate cancer diagnosis.
CNN anchor Jake Tapper recently revealed in the book "Original Sin," co-authored with Axios reporter Alex Thompson, that the White House and the Democratic Party tried to cover up the president’s dementia allegations in various ways throughout Biden's presidency.
The two authors recently disclosed in The New Yorker that Biden, in an effort to hide his mental decline, sought the assistance of a famous film director Steven Spielberg's filming team to add "Hollywood magic" to video productions of state addresses and campaign promotional materials.
In a recent interview with a U.S. media outlet, Tapper stated, "This is a scandal. In some respects, it could be more serious than Watergate." The revelation of Biden's terminal prostate cancer came two days before Tapper's book was released.
Despite this soul-searching confession, public sentiment towards Tapper remains cold. This is because he played a leading role in framing the allegations of Biden's cognitive decline as mere conspiracy theories. As a result, there are increasingly louder calls within the U.S. media community for a reckoning regarding "journalistic responsibility." In response to the criticism, Tapper acknowledged that he has "humbly reflected on his past self" and admitted that the coverage at the time was "not sufficient."
