Vice Minister Kim Hong-kyun met with the Indian parliament delegation visiting South Korea.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 26th, Vice Minister Kim Hong-kyun met and had a discussion with the bipartisan parliamentary delegation from India, led by Director General Sanjay Kumar Jha.
It is reported that Minister of Foreign Affairs Jo Tae-yeol also exchanged greetings with the parliamentary delegation before the meeting.
Vice Minister Kim expressed regret over the casualties from the Kashmir terror incident. He noted, “Our firm position is that terrorism can never be justified for any reason,” and stated, “The South Korean government will continue to cooperate in international efforts to combat terrorism.”
Vice Minister Kim further encouraged, “I welcome the agreement to cease mutual attacks between India and Pakistan,” adding, “I hope both sides will strive to ease tensions in the region through dialogue.”
