On the 24th (local time), Russia and Ukraine conducted an additional exchange of 307 prisoners of war. This was the second exchange following the return of 390 individuals to their respective countries the day before.

The Ministry of National Defense of Russia issued a statement that day noting, "In line with the agreement reached in Istanbul, Turkey, an additional 307 Russian soldiers have returned from territory controlled by the Kyiv regime." It added, "In return, Russia has sent back 307 Ukrainian soldiers who were prisoners of war."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also stated via a Telegram post, "An additional 307 Ukrainian soldiers have returned."

President Zelensky added that a total of 697 prisoners had returned over the two days and that exchanges are expected to continue on the 25th.

Russia and Ukraine exchanged 390 individuals the day before, including 270 soldiers and 120 civilians. This fulfilled the promise of a "1,000 for 1,000 prisoner exchange" agreement reached in Istanbul on the 16th.

The Ministry of National Defense of Russia explained that the released Russian soldiers are currently staying in Belarus, receiving necessary medical and psychological support. They are expected to be transferred to medical facilities of the Ministry of National Defense for treatment and rehabilitation.
