Son Heung-min (Tottenham) lifted his first-ever championship trophy after 15 seasons since his debut on the European stage, earning what can literally be described as 'a glorious scar.'
On the 22nd (Korean time), Son Heung-min secured the long-awaited championship trophy with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final held at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao, Spain.
After the final match, Son Heung-min, as captain of Tottenham, raised the 15 kg championship trophy, showcasing a 'champion ceremony' in front of the players. However, during a post-match interview, a red scar appeared on Son's forehead that had not been visible until the final whistle blew.
The 'truth of the scar' was revealed by Son Heung-min himself. In a video shared on Tottenham's Instagram account, he smiled brightly while showing the scar on his forehead and said, "Look here! Someone pushed me while I was lifting the trophy, and I hit my forehead and got this scar." Son then smiled and cheered towards the fans in the stands, continuing to enjoy the afterglow of the victory.
