The Music Awards Japan, held for the first time this year, is an awards ceremony created in collaboration with five major local organizations and government agencies, including the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Winners are determined by aggregating votes from music indicators such as Billboard Japan and Oricon, as well as industry professionals. The ceremony, which runs from the 21st at the Kyoto Romo Theater, will award key categories such as 'Song of the Year.'
'Song of the Year' category includes Rosé's 'Apartment,' while the 'Best Song Asia' category features girl group aespa's 'Supernova' and virtual idol PLAVE's 'WAY 4 LUV' as nominees.
