According to Fox News and others, the two staff members of the Israeli embassy in Washington were shot and killed near the intersection of 3rd Street and F Street in the northwest (NW) area, close to the Capital Jewish Museum.

Local police stated that they have arrested a suspect who shouted, "Liberation of Palestine, liberation" immediately after the attack.

The suspect is a 30-year-old man named Elias Rodriguez, according to reports by Reuters citing police.
