A terrorist incident occurred at an infertility clinic in California, USA. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) stated it was a "deliberate act of terrorism."

The Associated Press (AP) reported that around 11 a.m. local time on the 17th, a vehicle explosion suspected of being a terrorist act occurred at an infertility clinic in Palm Springs, California. One person died, and four were injured. The deceased is known to be a suspect in the incident.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said in a related briefing, "Let me be clear, this incident is an intentional act of terrorism." The FBI has not officially disclosed the grounds or the motive for the suspect's actions regarding this incident.

The Associated Press (AP) reported that an anonymous investigative source stated the suspect left clues that could help infer the motive for the terrorism. According to the report, the suspect posted writings online before the act, expressing a belief that "there should no longer be many people in this world," and it is understood that the suspect intended to either livestream the attack or at least record it on video.

The noise and vibration from the vehicle explosion were so great that they could be felt up to 3 kilometers away. The glass of nearby shops several blocks away was also shattered.

The hospital stated on social media that no staff were injured in the explosion and that the eggs and embryos stored in the laboratory are "completely safe." It was reported that no hospital staff or patients were harmed as the infertility clinic was not operating due to the weekend holiday.
