The fourth nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran have concluded.
Iran's Foreign Ministry stated on the 11th (local time) through X (formerly Twitter) that 'the fourth indirect negotiations with the United States have ended.'
The Iranian Foreign Ministry noted, 'In this negotiation, we sought reasonable ways to better understand each other's positions and narrow our differences,' adding that 'the next negotiations will be announced by Oman, which will coordinate them.'
There are positive evaluations of the results of this negotiation in the United States as well. A senior official from the U.S. side said that Middle East envoy Steve Wietkof has engaged in direct negotiations with Iran.
The two countries are expected to resume negotiations soon for technical discussions.
The main topic of this negotiation was whether to abandon Iran's nuclear program. Abbas Araghchi, Iran's foreign minister, said, 'It has been clearly declared that we have the right to peaceful use of nuclear energy and that we do not seek nuclear weaponization,' but added that 'Iran will never give up its goal of limiting nuclear rights.'
On the other hand, the U.S. aims to negotiate with the goal of dismantling Iran's nuclear program. Envoy Wietkof emphasized that 'there cannot be any absolute enrichment program within Iran.'
