U.S. President Donald Trump announced that India and Pakistan have agreed to a comprehensive and immediate ceasefire with the mediation of the United States on the 10th.

Trump said on that day through his social media platform, Truth Social, that he is pleased to announce that, after lengthy negotiations facilitated by the United States, India and Pakistan have agreed to a "comprehensive and immediate ceasefire."

He added, "I congratulate the two nations for exercising common sense and great wisdom," and expressed his gratitude for the attention given to this issue.

Recently, after India blamed Pakistan for an armed attack in Kashmir that resulted in 26 deaths, sporadic skirmishes between the two countries near the Line of Control in Kashmir have escalated into significant exchanges of fire.

On the 7th, India launched "Operation Sindoor" by striking nine places, including Pakistan-administered Kashmir and Punjab Province in Pakistan, with missiles. The Pakistani military classified this operation as an "act of war" and retaliated, leading to heightened conflict.
