The U.S. military Indo-Pacific Command strongly condemned North Korea's launch of several short-range ballistic missiles (SRBM).

On the 7th (local time), the Indo-Pacific Command stated, "We are aware that North Korea has launched multiple SRBMs," and noted, "We are in close consultation with South Korea, Japan, and other allies in the region regarding this matter."

It further added, "We urge North Korea to refrain from any further illegal and destabilizing actions."

Additionally, the Indo-Pacific Command assessed, "While this provocation does not pose an immediate threat to U.S. citizens or territory, or to our allies, we are continuing to monitor the situation," and affirmed, "The U.S. commitment to the defense of South Korea and Japan remains unwavering."

Earlier, the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that North Korea launched ballistic missiles into the East Sea from 8:10 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. Korean time.

This ballistic missile provocation by North Korea is the second since President Donald Trump took office on Jan. 20. The first provocation occurred on March 10.
