President Xi Jinping of China will make a state visit to Russia from 7th to 10th.
On 4th, the Chinese state-run Xinhua News Agency reported that "President Xi will visit Russia at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin" and noted that "during the visit, he will attend the 80th anniversary event of the Soviet (Russian) Victory Day held in Moscow."
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said shortly after the Xinhua report about Xi Jinping's visit to Russia that "the century-old change is accelerating rapidly, and the international order is being deeply adjusted," adding, "President Xi and President Putin will firmly lead the new era of Sino-Russian relations amid a complex external environment, characterized by enduring friendship, comprehensive strategic cooperation, mutual benefit, and win-win outcomes."
He also stated that "during the state visit to Russia, President Xi will engage in strategic communication with President Putin regarding the development of bilateral relations in the new situation and a series of major international and regional issues," and that "political mutual trust between China and Russia will deepen further, and the substance of strategic cooperation will be strengthened."
