At 115 years old, Esle Caterham, who has become the 'world's oldest person,' said her secret to longevity is "doing what you want to do." Caterham inherited the title of the oldest person in the world after Sister Inah Canavaho from Brazil passed away at the age of 116 on the 30th of last month.

According to the British daily The Guardian on the 1st (local time), Caterham, who lives in Surrey, England, said, "I accept everything calmly, whether it is good or bad. My motto is 'never to argue with anyone.'" She continued, "I listen to people's words and do what I want to do," sharing her secret to longevity.

Born in Hampshire, England, in 1909, Caterham married in 1933. She resided in locations such as the British territory of Gibraltar at the southern tip of Spain and Hong Kong, following her husband, who was an officer. Her husband passed away in 1976.

Caterham currently lives in a nursing home. She expressed a positive attitude, saying, "(I have) traveled around the world, and now I live in a wonderful nursing home. Here, they do whatever I want."
