On the 30th (local time), President Trump told NewsNation that several countries are negotiating with the U.S. to lower tariffs, saying, "We are negotiating with South Korea and negotiating with Japan."

In response to a question about when trade agreements with South Korea, Japan, and India would be announced, he answered, "There is a possibility that a transaction could be made," adding, "South Korea has been taking (money) from us," and, "We are funding the South Korean military. They are taking advantage of us in trade."

President Trump also said he has no intention of rushing to conclude trade negotiations. He stated, "I am less rushed than they are," adding, "We are in a favorable position. They want us, and we do not need them."

He also mentioned the fact that the U.S. has signed a mineral agreement with Ukraine, saying, "There is a very good opportunity to have a transaction with China."
