A man in his 40s was handed over to prosecutors for invading an academy naked and assaulting instructors and students in Japan. It was investigated that this man committed over 20 crimes for about 1 hour and 30 minutes before his arrest.
According to NHK and others on the 23rd, the Saitama Prefectural Police referred the suspect Daisuke Nishimura (48) to prosecutors on charges of breaking and entering and injury.
Nishimura invaded the academy naked around 9:30 p.m. on the 21st. When the academy representative (59) tried to stop Nishimura, he suddenly struck the representative in the head. A female student (14) was injured while trying to escape.
As a result of investigating closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, Nishimura committed crimes such as entering a convenience store naked and stealing items, or hijacking a taxi for 1 hour and 30 minutes before his arrest. During this process, a motorcycle driver was killed in a hit-and-run, and about 10 others were injured.
Japanese investigators are looking into the exact circumstances of the incident, the motive for the crime, and the mental state, and are also verifying any connections to other incidents involving Nishimura.
