The Ministry organized the meeting, attended by relevant government departments, provincial-level trade authorities, industry associations, and research institutions, to summarize the trade conflict response work since 2024 and to study and allocate key tasks for this year, with Vice Minister Yan Dong participating and giving a speech.

The Ministry noted during the meeting that 'current Chinese trade conflicts have entered a high intensity level' and emphasized the need to strengthen confidence and will in the face of difficulties and challenges, devise strategies to create new opportunities from crises. Additionally, it stressed the importance of clarifying political positions, reinforcing bottom line and limit line thinking, and focusing efforts on preventing and resolving trade risks.

Chinese authorities have been holding annual meetings under the name 'National Trade Remedy Working Conference' to address trade issues. This year, in light of the declared strong response to trade conflicts with the 'Trump 2' U.S. administration, the meeting's name was changed to 'Trade Conflict Response Working Conference.'
