Chinese media reported on the 23rd that Huawei has released a high-speed electric vehicle charger. Huawei announced its entry into the electric vehicle charging market by the end of 2023 and is currently collaborating with 11 automotive companies in China.
According to reports, Huawei stated that it launched the industry's first liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging solution at the '2025 Huawei Smart Electric and Smart Charging Network Strategy and New Product Launch' held the previous day.
According to Huawei, the charging system boasts a maximum output of 1.5 megawatts and can charge at 20 kilowatt-hours per minute. Huawei noted, "Large trucks can be charged to 90% in just 15 minutes, improving efficiency four times compared to existing fast chargers."
It added that the heating issue arising from ultra-fast charging has been resolved with liquid cooling technology, explaining, "It can operate stably even in extreme environments ranging from minus 30 degrees to 60 degrees."
Previously, BYD, the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in the world, showcased a rapid charging system that allows for a driving range of 470 kilometers with just 5 minutes of charging.
