Japanese actor Hirose Ryoko (45), who was arrested on charges of assaulting a nurse, was captured smiling widely as soon as she got into a car after her release.

According to NHK and others on the 17th, police released Hirose the morning before following mediation with the nurse's party. The police plan to continue the investigation without detention.

Hirose left the police station around 6:20 a.m. the day before. She briefly bowed her head and left the police station in a waiting black van after just three seconds.

During this process, Hirose, sitting in the back seat of the van, was caught on camera smiling widely. Japanese netizens reacted by saying, "She doesn't seem to regret much" and "Indeed, she is an actress."

Hirose is accused of kicking a nurse and scratching her arm while waiting for her turn to see a doctor at a hospital around 12:20 a.m. on the 8th. She was taken to the hospital after causing a serious accident by crashing into a large trailer on the highway.

Hirose's agency stated, "She was in a temporary panic state at the hospital and injured medical personnel," adding, "We deeply apologize for the great inconvenience and concern caused to the victim and all related parties." They further noted, "Since the investigation is ongoing, we are refraining from disclosing detailed information," and stated, "For the time being, Hirose will refrain from all entertainment activities."

During the 1990s, Hirose gained popularity in Japan as the 'national younger sister.' She also became known in Korea as the star of movies such as 'The Railway Man' and 'Secret.' In 2023, she was embroiled in controversy when it was revealed that she had an affair with a famous chef in Japan.
