An 'AI (artificial intelligence) shampoo specialty store' that washes hair is gaining attention in China.

According to recent reports from local media, including Guangzhou Daily, AI-enabled hair washing stores have appeared all over the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.

Customers lie on a massage bed and insert their heads into the device, which operates in a simple manner.

After checking the customer's scalp condition using the device, it automatically washes the hair according to whether a greasy or dry shampoo is selected.

While operating, the device continuously adjusts the water spray position to wash the scalp and hair.

It is not an unmanned store. Employees prepare towels and earplugs and assist in the processes before and after.

Media reports indicate that the process includes two shampoo applications, one treatment, and seven rinses, taking a total of 13 minutes.

The expense was initially 9.9 yuan (about 1,900 won) during the promotional period, and it is now known to average around 19 yuan (about 3,700 won) per session.

Chinese internet users are sharing their experiences on the social media platform Weibo, while also expressing concerns that as stores replacing simple tasks with machines increase, jobs are decreasing.

Netizens reacted with comments such as, 'It was cleaner than I expected,' 'It's unfortunate that I still have to dry my hair myself,' and 'While it was fascinating that the water temperature adjusts automatically, it couldn't scratch the itchy spots accurately.'
