On the 11th (local time), European countries including the United Kingdom and Germany promised an additional military support worth a total of 21 billion euros (about 35 trillion won) to Ukraine.

British Defense Minister John Healey noted in a press conference after the 'Ukraine Defense Contact Group' (UDCG) meeting held in Brussels, Belgium, that the scale of military support has increased to record levels.

The United Kingdom, along with Norway, decided to provide an additional $580 million (approximately 832 billion won) worth of military drones, radar systems, and anti-tank mines, with some funding expected to be used for the maintenance of armored vehicles in Ukraine. Germany plans to provide four Iris-T air defense systems, 300 guided missiles, and 100 surveillance radars to Ukraine this year.

The UDCG meeting held that day was the 27th meeting aimed at coordinating support for Ukraine following Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022.

The meeting was jointly chaired by the United Kingdom and Germany, and approximately 40 countries attended. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov expressed gratitude, stating, 'This is the largest military support package Ukraine has ever received.' Additionally, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized in a virtual speech that 10 more Patriot air defense systems are needed.
