President Donald Trump stated on the 7th (local time) to "be strong, have courage, and be patient," emphasizing his determination to proceed with the tariff introduction.
On the same day, President Trump noted in a post on social media platform Truth Social, "America has a chance to do what it should have done decades ago," and urged, "Do not get weak or stupid."
He continued, saying that a new party based on "weak and stupid people" has emerged and advised, "Do not become a member of the Panic Party."
In another post, President Trump revealed that China, which announced a retaliatory tariff with the same rate against his announced "reciprocal tariff," did not heed his warning to refrain from retaliation.
President Trump pointed out, "China, which is plummeting in the market, has raised (the tariff rate against the U.S.) by 34% on top of the high tariffs they have absurdly imposed for a long time," adding, "They have taken advantage of America for decades."
He claimed that currently, oil prices, interest rates, and food prices are falling in the U.S., and there is no inflation. President Trump mentioned that the sluggish Federal Reserve (Fed) should lower the benchmark interest rate.
