The term 'hedgehog mom' (a neologism derived from the word for hedgehog, describing mothers who cherish their children immensely) is gaining attention in Hong Kong. A famous actress in Hong Kong faced criticism as a 'monster mom' after revealing her unusual method of installing a toilet in her car for the education of her 4-year-old daughter.

The South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on the 7th (local time) that actress Li Tianzhong (37), a former Miss Hong Kong, bought a seven-seater vehicle to provide early education for her 4-year-old daughter Amber, resolving all daily activities in the car.

Her daughter attends two kindergartens a day. One is the Christchurch Kindergarten, which focuses on English education, and the other is the Hong Kong SoKa Kindergarten, which teaches Cantonese.

Amber's day starts at 7:30 a.m. She brushes her teeth, changes clothes, and even has breakfast while in the car. Li set up a portable toilet in the vehicle to accommodate her busy child's schedule.

After finishing at the first kindergarten, Amber eats in the car and takes a nap before heading to the second kindergarten. During her leisure time, she learns the traditional Chinese musical instrument pipa and piano from her grandmother, and practices recitation and dance with Li.

Li noted, 'The two kindergartens are close together, which minimizes travel time,' adding that 'many parents in Hong Kong follow routines similar to mine for their children's language learning.'

Netizens criticized Li as a 'tiger mom' and 'monster parent.' One netizen pointed out, 'Have you considered your daughter's feelings? A mere four-year-old's schedule is as packed as an adult's.'
