The U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) announced on the 2nd (local time) that it will add beer cans and empty aluminum cans to the list of aluminum derivative products subject to a 25% tariff.

Earlier, President Trump raised the tariff on aluminum from the previous 10% to 25% in February and applied this to aluminum derivative products, starting to impose tariffs since the 12th of last month.

The tariff on beer cans will take effect from the 4th and is expected to impact beer prices as well.
