U.S. President Donald Trump said on the 31st (local time) that he has a "good relationship" with North Korean Chairperson Kim Jong Un and "we will do something at some point."

According to reports, President Trump, meeting with reporters at the White House that day, answered "yes" when asked if he plans to reach out to the Commissioner.

He said, "I have a good relationship with Kim Jong Un," adding, "I have gotten along fantastically well with him. This is very important."

He mentioned the time in early 2017 during his first term when he referred to the Chairperson as "little rocket man" and said, "One day I received a call saying they wanted to meet. We met and have maintained a good relationship."

He continued, "We have communication," noting, "That is very important. As you know, he is a big nuclear nation and very smart."
