Kia recorded its highest-ever sales volume for the first half of the year (January to June) in the Indian market.
According to statistics from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on the 27th, Kia sold 142,139 vehicles in India during the first half of the year, surpassing the previous record of 136,108 units sold in the first half of 2023.

With its record-breaking sales in the first half of the year as a foundation, interest is growing over whether Kia can set new annual sales records as well. Kia is looking forward to the success of the compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) Seltos, which was launched in February this year. Seltos received the highest rating of five stars in India's new car assessment program, recognizing its quality. Other popular models in the Indian market include Sonet, Celtos, and Carens.
Kia is increasing local production in India. Since the operation of its plant in July 2019, Kia has produced a cumulative total of 1,482,490 units by the first quarter of this year.
To target the Indian electric vehicle market, Kia has also introduced the local strategic electric vehicle Carens Clavis EV.
