HD Hyundai Marine Solution reported that its operating profit for the second quarter of this year was provisionally recorded at 83 billion won, an increase of 16.9% compared to the same period last year. HD Hyundai Marine Solution is a comprehensive solution corporation in the maritime industry, part of HD Hyundai.
Sales for the same period were recorded at 467.7 billion won, an increase of 6.8%. However, net profit for the period was provisionally recorded at 53 billion won, a decrease of 6.5% compared to the same period.
Cumulative operating profit for the first half of the year was 166 billion won, an increase of 35.5% compared to the same period last year, while sales were provisionally recorded at 953.3 billion won, an increase of 16.1%.
HD Hyundai Marine Solution achieved its best performance on a half-year basis, noting that the increase in long-term maintenance contracts for eco-friendly dual-fuel engines positively impacted the performance of its main institutional sector, AM (After Market), contributing to overall performance improvement.
An official from HD Hyundai Marine Solution said, "We are expanding our customer base to the Middle East and Asia based on differentiated competitiveness," adding, "In line with the strengthening of eco-friendly regulations, we plan to solidify our position in high-value-added business areas such as eco-friendly engines and smart solutions."
