Stephan Deblèze, president of Renault Korea who successfully developed the Grand Koleos, will be promoted to CEO of Renault India. Nicolas Paris has been appointed as the successor to Renault Korea.
Renault Group announced on July 21 the appointment of Nicolas Paris as the new CEO of Renault Korea.
The official start date of new CEO Paris, who will lead Renault Korea following current president Stephan Deblèze, is September 1, 2025.
Paris, the new CEO of Renault Korea, has accumulated extensive experience in purchasing and leadership in the global automotive industry over the past 20 years.
A graduate of Reims Management School in France, he joined the Renault Group in 2015 after working at global automotive parts manufacturer ZF Lenkysteme. He has held key positions in core locations, including vice president of A-segment purchasing at the Indian subsidiary and head of purchasing at the Alliance Innovation Lab in China. Since 2023, he has served as vice president responsible for purchasing in battery, E-Powertrain, ADAS, connectivity, software, and electronic components, contributing to the Renault Group's technological innovation and electric vehicle transition.
Current president Deblèze will take on the significant role of CEO overseeing Renault Group India. Approximately 40,000 employees currently work at Renault Group India. President Stephan Deblèze's official term will also begin on September 1, 2025.
Since taking office in March 2022, current Renault Korea president Stephan Deblèze has led innovations to secure the company's long-term competitive edge and strengthen its strategic role within the Renault Group. He successfully launched the 'Aurora World' project, a new vehicle development initiative per the group's 'International Game Plan' strategy, with its first model, the Grand Koleos, set to be released in September 2024, which has received positive evaluations, with over 45,000 units sold in the Korean market.
Under president Deblèze's leadership, Renault Korea has also been designated as a key development and production hub for Renault Group's mid-to-large vehicles, further strengthening its significance within the group.
President Deblèze led the strategic reorganization of Renault Technology Korea, the R&D center, and upgraded the Busan plant to enable production of internal combustion engines, hybrids, and electric vehicles all on a single line, laying the groundwork for future competitiveness.
In April 2024, the company changed its name to 'Renault Korea' and introduced the Losange logo, actively promoting brand enhancement in Korea by presenting the flagship store Renault Seongsu and the new rnlt© showroom concept.
