The board of directors of French automobile company Renault Group appointed Duncan Minto as interim chief executive officer (CEO) on the 16th.
Duncan Minto's interim CEO term begins today and will last until a new CEO is officially appointed. During this period, he will be responsible for overall management along with Jean-Dominique Senard, the chair of the board.
Duncan Minto, the interim CEO, is from Scotland and has been working at Renault Group since 1997. He has had various roles across several brands under the group in regions such as Europe and the Asia-Pacific, and is regarded as having extensive experience in finance.
The Renault Group board began the process of selecting a new CEO last month. Luca de Meo, who previously led the group, has been recruited as the new CEO of French luxury company Kering, which owns brands such as Gucci, and is expected to be officially appointed in September.
