Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 16th that it has launched the electric commercial vehicle '2026 ST1'. This model, which is a mid-cycle refresh of last year's ST1, features improved marketability and includes an economy trim.
The ST1 is equipped with a 76.1-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery, allowing it to travel 317 km under cargo conditions and 298 km under refrigerated cargo conditions on a single charge. Based on a 350-kilowatt (kW) ultra-fast charging system, it can charge from 10% to 80% of the battery capacity in just 20 minutes.
Reflecting the voices of existing customers, Hyundai Motor Company has included a first-row sun visor mirror, a front passenger assist handle, and a front passenger floor mat as standard features in the 2026 ST1 smart trim. The existing 'convenience' optional specifications have been enhanced with the addition of heated and ventilated seats for the front passenger.
Additionally, an economy trim called 'Style' has been added to the 2026 ST1 cargo model to lower the purchasing burden for customers. Despite being 1.06 million won cheaper than the existing ST1 smart trim, the Style trim includes customer-preferred features such as a 12.3-inch cluster, a 10.25-inch navigation system, and an electric parking brake (including auto hold).
Hyundai Motor Company plans to introduce a vehicle logistics application (app) called 'Sendy' for the ST1 to enhance operational convenience. The Sendy driver program features artificial intelligence (AI) technology that minimizes the empty load rate and provides optimal transportation routes.
The prices for the 2026 ST1 are as follows: cargo ▲Style 58.74 million won ▲Smart 60.40 million won ▲Premium 64.18 million won; refrigerated cargo ▲Smart 68.75 million won ▲Premium 72.53 million won; chassis cab ▲Smart 56.55 million won; high top ▲Smart 58 million won. Hyundai Motor Company expects that considering the highest level of government and municipal subsidies for electric cargo vehicles, which range from 15.1 million to 24.57 million won, along with additional subsidies for small business owners of 3.6 million won and a VAT refund of 5.34 million won for commercial vehicles, the actual purchasing burden for customers will be significantly reduced. To celebrate the launch of the 2026 ST1, Hyundai Motor Company is running an event offering a discount of 500,000 won for customers who own small commercial vehicles and have held onto their old vehicles for more than seven years, while customers with other vehicle ownership will receive a discount of 300,000 won.
