Yoo Min-sang, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Autonomous A2Z, was selected on the 15th by the U.S. automotive industry magazine 'AutoTech Outlook' as one of the 'Top 10 CSOs in the Asia-Pacific for 2025.'
AutoTech Outlook selects and announces key figures and corporations with technological expertise and strategic leadership in the automotive industry each year. This year, it selected 10 major strategic leaders from the Asia-Pacific region based on their future-oriented contributions and commitment to sustainable innovation.
CSO Yoo Min-sang was evaluated as a figure who oversees the global expansion of autonomous vehicles and regulatory strategies, equipped with technological proficiency and public policy capabilities. AutoTech Outlook introduced that CSO Yoo is playing a leading role in the institutionalization for the commercialization of autonomous vehicles and the establishment of strategies for overseas expansion as the leader of the company's global policy strategy office.
Having worked in strategy and policy for over 10 years at Hyundai Motor, CSO Yoo officially proposed the Level 4 autonomous vehicle certification system, the third of its kind in the world, for legislative consideration. Currently, she is also active as a Commissioner in six government departments, including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, as well as in organizations like the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) and the United Nations World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (UN WP29).
CSO Yoo stated, "As the CSO responsible for the strategy of the company leading domestic autonomous driving, I am honored to be named in this ranking," adding, "I will do my best to lead continuous policy initiatives and establish strategies both domestically and internationally to grow into a global corporation beyond Korea."
Autonomous A2Z is a domestic autonomous driving solution company founded by four autonomous driving engineers from Hyundai Motor. It operates the largest number of autonomous vehicles, with 55 across the country, and has recorded approximately 670,000 km as the highest cumulative driving distance in urban autonomous driving.
