Hyundai Transys announced on the 15th that it has published the '2025 Hyundai Transys Sustainability Management Report,' which contains its sustainable management promotion strategy and key achievements.
This sustainability management report is composed of three parts: ▲ Sustainability Strategy ▲ Sustainability Performance ▲ ESG Data.
In the sustainability strategy part, nine significant issues affecting the business were selected through a double materiality assessment, including 'climate change response and energy management,' 'strengthening new growth engines and technological innovation,' and 'supply chain ESG management.' The current status and strategies for addressing these issues were disclosed.
The sustainability performance part includes Hyundai Transys's financial and non-financial performance across the environmental, social, and governance sectors. For the first time, it disclosed performance related to 'management of financial impacts from environmental issues' and 'natural capital management,' applying the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
Hyundai Transys is regularly checking the carbon neutrality implementation at its global business sites to achieve its carbon neutrality goal by 2045. Through this, it identified potential risk factors from climate change and derived core management business sites using the frequency of natural disasters, economic value exposure, and future change rates.
The ESG data part includes detailed data quantitatively showing the ESG activity performance of domestic and overseas business sites and subsidiaries over the past three years.
Hyundai Transys explained that it adheres to global guidelines such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) disclosure standards, international standards for social responsibility (ISO 26000), and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) for the publication of the sustainability management report.
Baek Cheol-seung, CEO of Hyundai Transys, said, 'Despite the spread of uncertainties both domestically and internationally, we will create future value and establish a growth foundation through unwavering sustainable management' and added, 'We will ensure essential competitiveness by establishing a culture of practicing sustainability management rather than just making declarations.'
Meanwhile, Hyundai Transys is carrying out sustainability management activities by building sustainable supply chains and strengthening human rights management at global business sites through enhancing the capabilities of its partners. In February, it also obtained the gold rating for two consecutive years in the assessment by the global sustainability assessment organization EcoVadis.
