Vice Minister Noh Yong-seok said on the 14th, "The Ministry of SMEs and Startups should play a role in creating a fair market order that can coexist together."
He remarked on this day during his inauguration as the seventh Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, "I am genuinely pleased and honored to be with all of you again as the first Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups under the Lee Jae-myung government."
He added, "I feel a heavy sense of responsibility in a situation where our economy is tougher than ever," and noted, "The Ministry of SMEs and Startups must enhance the capabilities of small and venture enterprises and small business owners so that the industry can grow with a technology-driven approach."
Vice Minister Noh expressed his determination to work on improving the organizational culture to create an environment where ministry employees can focus on their work.
He mentioned, "We will eliminate unnecessary tasks and unreasonable practices to increase work efficiency," and stated, "I will listen not only to the voices within the organization but also to small and venture enterprises and small business owners, as well as the public."
He went on to say, "Just as two flints are needed to ignite a fire, one flint alone cannot create a spark; I believe that the sparks of change and innovation can also ignite together," and expressed, "I am truly happy to be able to continue working with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups family."
Vice Minister Noh was born in Daegu in 1971, graduated from Kyungpook National University High School and the Management Department of Sungkyunkwan University, and received a master's degree in management from ESSEC Business School in France.
Entering public service through the 41st National Civil Service Examination, he has worked as the director of the Entrepreneurship Promotion Policy Division at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, as well as the Director General for Policy Planning, and has served as the Director of the Small and Medium Enterprise Policy Office until now.
