Hanjin recently announced on the 11th that due to extreme heat, there may be delivery delays in some areas because of the workplace break system during working hours, requesting customers' understanding.
Hanjin applies a principle of 50 minutes of work and 10 minutes of rest when the workplace temperature exceeds 33 degrees Celsius to prevent heat-related illnesses among workers.
Recently, afternoon high temperatures have surpassed 35 degrees Celsius, leading to delays in work and potential delivery delays in some areas.
In addition, to prevent heat-related illnesses, Hanjin has added air conditioners at the Daejeon Mega Hub Terminal and has been providing cooling bags, cooling bottles, and neck fans.
Additionally, the delivery drivers will be provided with ice-cold water, and additional terminals will be operated to help them avoid deliveries during the hottest hours.
A Hanjin official noted, “We kindly ask for your understanding that there may be temporary delivery delays in some areas due to the nationwide heat wave,” and added, “We will do our best to minimize customer inconvenience while prioritizing the safety of delivery drivers and relevant personnel.”
