Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the high-performance sedan electric vehicle 'Ioniq 6 N' on the 10th (local time) at the '2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed,' the largest automobile festival in the UK. This is the second model of its high-performance brand 'N,' following the 'Ioniq 5 N.'
Hyundai Motor Company described the Ioniq 6 N as a vehicle that combines data obtained from motorsports like the World Rally Championship (WRC) and research and development vehicles, elevating driving performance to the extreme.
The Ioniq 6 N is equipped with a high-performance all-wheel-drive system and an 84.0 kWh high-output battery. The front and rear motors produce a combined maximum output of 448 kW (609 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 740 Nm (Newton meters). When using the 'N Green Boost' feature, which delivers maximum acceleration for a certain period, the combined maximum output rises to 478 kW (650 horsepower) with a maximum torque of 770 Nm.
Another notable feature is the 'N Launch Control,' which optimizes performance control according to road conditions, allowing the vehicle to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in just 3.2 seconds.
Hyundai Motor Company has applied the 'N Battery' feature to the Ioniq 6 N, which optimally controls battery temperature and output based on driving purposes. The N Battery consists of three modes: Drag for maximum acceleration performance, Sprint for fast track driving, and Endurance to improve track driving consistency. It assists in delivering the best power performance across various track driving conditions.
In addition, the drag coefficient has been improved compared to previous models, and the center of gravity has been lowered to enhance handling performance. A large rear wing spoiler that generates downforce has also been applied to enhance stability during high-speed driving. It is equipped with next-generation geometry suspension, which lowers the roll center that acts as the pivot point when the vehicle turns, increasing stability during limit driving.
Moreover, Hyundai Motor Company has significantly applied an evolved high-performance electrification specification to the Ioniq 6 N. A representative feature is the 'N e-Shift,' which finely adjusts the virtual gear ratio. This feature aids in seamless acceleration and dynamic driving. Additionally, it has implemented the 'N Ambient Shift Light' feature, which informs optimal shift timing through interior ambient lighting, creating an immersive driving environment.
Hyundai Motor Company plans to showcase the Ioniq 6 N and Ioniq 6 at the Lotte Premium Outlet in Uiwang City, Gyeonggi Province, from the 12th to the 20th.
