The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) will work with Korea Polytechnics to cultivate talent for small and medium-sized enterprises and address workforce shortages.
According to KOSME on the 4th, this agreement was pursued to support the sustainable growth of small and medium-sized enterprises by linking the expertise and infrastructure of the two institutions, creating stable jobs, and activating the foundation for youth entrepreneurship.
Key elements of the agreement include ▲ mutual cooperation in nurturing outstanding talent for expanding employment in small and medium-sized enterprises ▲ joint promotion of work-study programs for cultivating technical personnel ▲ development and utilization of customized training courses ▲ nurturing and discovering entrepreneurs through the youth entrepreneurship academy ▲ guidance and promotion of the Tomorrow Saving Program.
In particular, KOSME will link the network of the 'Corporate Human Resources Counseling Center' that it operates with training sites across Korea Polytechnics to resolve job imbalances in the industrial field and establish a practical talent supply system.
Kang Seok-jin, the chairman of KOSME, noted, "This agreement is an example of establishing a cooperative basis for support agencies for small and medium-sized enterprises and educational institutions to proactively respond to the talent demands in the industrial field," and he stated, "We will faithfully fulfill our social responsibility as a support agency for small and medium-sized enterprises."
