CJ Logistics announced on the 3rd that it will expand its 7-day delivery service 'O-NE' to rural areas across the country at the town and village level. This comes about six months after the service was launched in January.
The expansion of delivery areas is due to operational stabilization, and the company explained that it will broaden the existing delivery zones, which were limited to major cities and the metropolitan area, to 134 towns and villages in 40 cities and counties nationwide.
The expanded areas include town and village regions in Gyeonggi Province such as Paju, Gimpo, Yeoju, and Icheon, as well as many towns and villages in Gyeongsangnam-do's Miryang and Jeollabuk-do's Iksan, adjacent to dwellings and agricultural land.
CJ Logistics expects that this expansion of delivery zones to town and village areas will bring significant changes to the lives of both suppliers and consumers.
With delivery services available regardless of the day of the week, there are also new business opportunities likely to arise for sellers.
In particular, for agricultural and fishery products where the proportion of fresh goods is high, the expansion of the delivery zones will make weekend shipments possible, greatly increasing sales opportunities and aiding farmers in finding new markets.
An official from CJ Logistics said, "The expansion of delivery zones to town and village areas is significant in allowing rural areas to enjoy the logistics infrastructure available in urban areas," adding, "We will continue to enhance delivery quality so that customers can experience 'everyday deliveries' from anywhere in the country."
