On the 1st, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it will hold a contest for the name and catchphrase (slogan) of the 'Global Startup Hub' being developed in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The Global Startup Hub, scheduled to open in early 2026, is a large-scale startup space specialized in the deep tech sector and global entrepreneurship. It is designed as a space for over 200 domestic startups to interact with overseas startups, global corporations, and overseas investors (VCs).
The contest being held this time is for the name and catchphrase of the Global Startup Hub. The competition will run for a month from July 7 to August 7, and anyone can participate regardless of nationality. The name and catchphrase must be submitted in English, and the selected representative works will be chosen based on creativity and symbolism.
The contest for the Global Startup Hub name and catchphrase will be conducted through an online survey platform (Moafom), and participation can be done via the QR code on the contest poster or the K-Startup website.
