Volvo Cars Korea announced on the 27th that it will unveil the price of the 7-seater flagship sports utility vehicle (SUV) 'new XC90' and begin pre-orders. The prices vary by trim, with the starting price set at 88.2 million won.
The new XC90 will be released as a plug-in hybrid (T8) with a maximum output of 462 horsepower (engine: 317 horsepower, electric motor: 145 horsepower) that can travel up to 56 km in pure electric mode on a single charge, and as a mild hybrid (B6) with a maximum output of 300 horsepower based on 48V gasoline.
Both T8 and B6 can receive second-type low-emission vehicle benefits. The 4-C chassis, which monitors the vehicle, road, and driver 500 times per second, will have air suspension applied as standard to the mild hybrid (B6) Ultra trim—previously available only on the plug-in hybrid (T8)—which controls the vehicle's height based on road conditions or speed.
The sales trims are classified into Plus and the top-end Ultra based on differences in convenience features such as ▲wheel size ▲Bowers & Wilkins sound system ▲electric side support and massage, ventilation seats in the front.
The sales prices by trim are 88.2 million won for the B6 Plus, 99.9 million won for the Ultra trim with air suspension, and 116.2 million won for the T8 Ultra trim. Additionally, benefits such as ▲5 years or 100,000 km general parts warranty and consumable exchange service ▲8 years/160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty are also offered.
Pre-orders for the new XC90 will be available through 39 showrooms nationwide, with official deliveries expected to begin in July.
