Polestar has frozen the price of the 2026 model Polestar 4 upon its launch. Furthermore, premium options such as Nappa leather have actually lowered in price.

The Swedish premium electric vehicle brand Polestar (Polestar) launched the 2026 model Polestar 4 (Polestar 4) on the 26th, lowering the threshold and enhancing product attractiveness.

The Polestar 4 is an electric performance SUV coupe that combines the sleek style characteristic of coupes with the spatial advantages of an SUV. It has won awards such as '2025 Central Daily News Car of the Year' and '2025 Car Design of the Year' chosen by the Korea Automotive Journalists Association, and since the first customer delivery in November last year, approximately 1,500 units have been sold, making it a popular model.

Despite the unstable exchange rate and market conditions, Polestar has frozen the starting price of the 2026 model Polestar 4 while responding to domestic customers' preference for premium options by lowering the price of the Nappa (Nappa) leather option by 1 million won and adding a new option, the Electrochromic glass roof (Electrochromic glass roof), at the most attractive price worldwide, thus broadening the range of premium option selections.

In fact, nine out of ten customers chose the most expensive option, the Plus Pack, and six out of ten ordered the dual motor (higher trim). Additionally, more than half of the customers who ordered the dual motor also selected the Performance Pack, reflecting a high preference for premium options.

To this, a steering wheel with physical buttons has been introduced, and the driving range of the dual motor equipped with 20 to 21-inch wheels has been newly certified (455km), improving satisfaction in actual driving conditions through various enhancements.

Ham Jong-seong, the CEO of Polestar Korea, noted, "The 2026 model Polestar 4 maintains the vehicle's completeness and competitiveness as proven by awards such as Car of the Year and Design of the Year while actively reflecting the needs of domestic customers who prefer premium options, thus enhancing product attractiveness." He added, "We will continue to increase customer satisfaction through continuous innovation and competitiveness."

The test drive application and vehicle order section for the 2026 model Polestar 4 opened on the Polestar official website on the 26th.

▲Addition of the Electrochromic glass roof option

The Electrochromic glass roof, which is making its first appearance in the domestic market through the 2026 model Polestar 4, can adjust the transparency of the roof with a single button. It blocks 99.5% of ultraviolet rays just like the existing glass roof, and effectively suppresses glare during daytime driving, enhancing the comfort of the passengers. It is priced at 1.5 million won, making it the most attractive price globally where Polestar has entered.

▲Nappa leather option reduced by 1 million won

The highly preferred Nappa leather option has been reduced by 1 million won from 5.5 million won to 4.5 million won. The Nappa upgrade uses leather supplied by a company certified for animal welfare, and the configuration that maximizes the comfort of the passengers, including ventilation and massage functions for the front seats, and the Harman Kardon speaker with integrated headrests, remains the same.

▲New certification completed for dual motor trim driving range

The 2026 model Polestar 4 has completed new driving range certification with long-range dual motors applying 20 and 21-inch wheels. Accordingly, the previously unified certified driving range for dual motors of 395 km has been bifurcated into a standard trim (20-21 inch wheels) of 455 km and a performance pack (22-inch wheels) of 395 km, enabling customers purchasing the standard trim (20-21 inch wheels) to receive more electric vehicle purchase subsidies.

The price of the 2026 model Polestar 4 remains the same at 66.9 million won for the long-range single motor and 71.9 million won for the long-range dual motor.

Pilot Pack, which provides driving assistance features including Pilot Assist, is applied as standard in the 2026 models. Moreover, the existing Plus Pack, which included a 3-zone climate control system and PM 2.5 sensor and filter, is now standard in the 2026 version, allowing all trims to enjoy a comfortable indoor environment.

The Plus Pack is priced at 6 million won and includes options such as the Harman Kardon premium audio system, pixel LED headlights, and second-row power reclining function, which can enhance the value of the Polestar 4.

The Pro Pack is priced at 2.5 million won and allows for personal expression with 21-inch Pro Pack exclusive wheels and Swedish gold stripe seat belts, as well as Swedish gold valve caps.

The Performance Pack, which maximizes the driving performance of the Polestar 4, is priced at 6 million won and includes 22-inch Performance Pack exclusive wheels, 4-piston Brembo brakes, Polestar Engineering's performance chassis tuning, and adds Swedish gold details to the seat belts, brakes, and valve caps, providing an overwhelming design and driving experience.

As standalone options, there are 21-inch sports wheels and an Electrochromic glass roof, priced at 2 million won and 1.5 million won, respectively.

Customers purchasing the 2026 model Polestar 4 are offered the same purchase benefits as before, including a 1 million won cash subsidy as a commemoration for winning 'Car of the Year', special 4% cashback from Samsung Card, zero-interest installment promotions, long-term installments/leasing from Woori Finance Capital (up to 120 months, starting from approximately 390,000 won per month), tinting & Hi-Pass vouchers, T-map charging points worth 300,000 won, and 9% cashback from Samsung Card for repeat customers.

The Polestar 4 is the fastest model among the production cars developed by Polestar to date, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds (based on the long-range dual motor) with a powerful performance of up to 400 kW (544 hp). It boasts high energy efficiency with a Cell-to-Pack form 100 kWh lithium-ion battery and supports rapid charging up to 200 kW. The Polestar 4 emits 19.4 tons of greenhouse gases (CO2e) during the production process (based on the standard-range single motor), the lowest carbon footprint among the models produced by Polestar.
