Both the new 1 and 2 series come equipped with a 4-cylinder gasoline engine with increased output compared to previous models, along with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission as standard. Additionally, BMW explained that it has improved fuel efficiency by enhancing engine efficiency. The latest operating system from BMW, Operating System 9, is also applied, allowing for intuitive controls. A curved display integrating a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch display is equipped.

The new 1 series is characterized by enhanced practicality. This hatchback model has increased in height by 25 mm and length by 40 mm compared to the transfer model, providing more spacious interior space. Additionally, it offers a base cargo capacity of 380 liters, which can be expanded to 1,200 liters by folding down the second-row seats.

The new 2 series Gran Coupe is a rare 4-door coupe in the compact segment. Notably, BMW has also added the new 228 xDrive trim equipped with an all-wheel-drive system. BMW explained that it aims to appeal to customers who prefer coupe designs with a lower roofline and those who prioritize driving performance.

A BMW official noted, 'Both models have undergone a complete redesign, enhancing the overall quality of the vehicles,' and 'We will broaden consumers' options with a variety of trims, including high-performance models.'
